Welcome to the LISC!

LISC (Lab of Engineering for Complex Systems) develops research on dynamic systems modeling and on the conception of action policies based on the analysis of these models.

The aim is to study, to understand and to act on socio-ecological systems dynamics. A major challenge is to develop approaches in order to support the sustainable management of these systems.

LISC has made theoretical research to establish key concepts associated with the notion of sustainability on solid mathematical knowledge, and also more applied work on concrete cases of managed ecosystems.

These applications raise difficult algorithmic problems in which LISC has also invested a lot, by developing both conceptual and computational innovations.

Location

Located in France on the Cézeaux campus at 9 avenue Blaise Pascal in Aubière (63170), the LISC is part of the INRAE center in Clermont-Ferrand. The building is shared by several research units, including:

The building is situated on the Cézeaux campus, a major hub for research and innovation in the Clermont-Ferrand region.
